Just ordered loads of fabric from Amy Butler… Daisy Chain line… love it!

One of my many frustrations with dogs beds has been the lack of a washable cover—once a store-bought dog bed gets too dirty, you cannot just throw it in the wash. So this weekend I made a dog bed (used the stuffing from two old throw pillows), and made a washable cover from a table cloth I found on sale.

I didn’t want to use a zipper, so I created a pocket to slide the interior pillow into. Ahh… a clean dog bed (and cover).

I just read that Amy Butler is offering free patterns online! Hooray! I don’t have any fabric… or a place to sew, but the lavender bags would be a great Christmas gift!

I was going to make little bags for mugs and tea, but lavender seems much better.
