Around the House
Back stairs are finished (thanks Buck (and Stephen and Paul)!), with the exception of the quarter-round and varnish… to no longer see insulation hanging out the sides of the stairs is amazing. Amazing. Before picture here. Semi-done picture here.
Also picked up a tiny shelf for the kitchen, but still need to put it up.

i love those stairs! well done with all the varnishing. i love this little shelf too, i’ll be coming back to see how your house is coming along, so far it’s looking awesome! thanks for the comment re: finding a handmade wallet, i love that link you mentioned from austria. it looks like they are low on stock right now so i will check back with them soon when they have more.

I found your blog today via 3191 and was pleasantly surprised to discover that you not only are in st. louis (where I am), but are rehabbing a home on the north side (I read through the older blog, as well). It has always been my dream to rehab and live in north city–a neighborhood slightly to the northeast. You are an inspiration! Good luck with the remainder of the remodel.

I love the stairs! So beautiful. The old picture kind of looks like a crime scene. Can me and the fam come visit this spring? Maybe we can plant flowers?
